Internship Opportunities

CVAA is pleased to offer internship opportunities for people who want to explore the social services field, obtain experience working with seniors, develop career skills, and meet internship or field experience requirements.  We make every effort to tailor our internships to the needs of CVAA and the interests of the intern.  All internships are unpaid and have a flexible weekday schedule.  Internship inquiries may be sent to info@cvaa.org.

Development Intern
Primary responsibilities
- Be an integral part of the Finance Department in a vital organization
- Assist the agency to remain known in the community
- Present a positive public image

Project Snow Shovel Volunteer Management Intern
Primary responsibilities
- Recruit volunteers to provide service to seniors, with a particular focus on recruiting volunteers to shovel snow for seniors
- Manage volunteers.  Activities will include interviewing and screening volunteers, matching clients with seniors, and ongoing supervision and documentation

Quality Assurance Intern (Summer Semester only)
Primary responsibilities
- Work with Volunteer Coordinator to evaluate Friendly Visitor Volunteer program, which currently has approximately 150 volunteers
- Administer client satisfaction survey to gauge senior satisfaction with volunteer assistance and request feedback
- Compile and present results from the client satisfaction survey

Volunteer Management Intern
Primary responsibilities
- Work with Volunteer Coordinator to administer Volunteer Program, which currently has over 1000 volunteers
- Recruit volunteers to provide service to seniors.  Activities may include writing press releases, speaking with community members and groups, collaboration with organizations and businesses, and other methods at the discretion of intern and volunteer coordinator
- Manage volunteers. Activities will include interviewing and screening volunteers, matching clients with seniors, and ongoing supervision and documentation
