Human Resources Coordinator
Wanted An exceptional professional with 3-5+ years of Human Resources experience and a demonstrated passion for people operations and human capital development.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day human resource needs of CVAA. The HR Coordinator will take a lead role in payroll and benefits administration; maintenance of employee data; development, revision, implementation and administration of key HR strategies and policies for a dynamic non-profit organization in growth mode.
In addition to supporting the Directors of CVAA’s operational divisions with hiring, recruiting, onboarding / exiting, performance management and leadership / staff development, the HR Coordinator, in partnership with the Executive Director and Deputy Director, will take a strategic approach to HR in order to advance CVAA’s business objectives and optimize the performance of the organization.
Essential Attributes and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and three years’ experience in human resources, or high school education plus five years in progressively responsible HR duties required. Confident, outgoing, courteous, and professional with a demonstrated track record of outstanding customer service. Demonstrated experience with employee relations, performance issue resolution and providing direct support to managers for people-related decision-making;
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills, including strong listening habits;
Demonstrated problem-solving skills;
Strong analytical and relationship-building skills;
Facilitation/training experience desirable;
Excellent judgment combined with ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion;
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with a high degree of personal accountability;
Ability to build trust, relationships and credibility quickly and work comfortably with all levels of the organization, from CVAA’s Board of Directors and Executive Director to entry level staff.
Self-starter -- ability to independently and effectively manage time in an environment with multiple work-streams and competing priorities;
Strong team player with extraordinary communications skills, high tolerance for ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment;
Experienced in developing and carrying out short-term and long-term goals;
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy;
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint required; experience with HR information / payroll software.

Case Manager (Chittenden County)
Challenging and rewarding, multi-faceted field position providing a person-centered approach to care planning and options counseling for older adults. Components of the job include assessment, care coordination, benefits counseling and monitoring of community services. This position requires commitment to helping seniors with complex needs; professional listening and assessment skills; effective organizational talents, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team. BA/BS required. Minimum three years’ social service experience. Flexibility and positive attitude are essential; knowledge of senior programs and issues, a plus.
